With no direct instruction responsibilities, you can concentrate entirely on IEP compliance, documentation, and case management.
Responsibilities include:
- Scheduling and facilitating IEP meetings for students receiving special education services
- Coordinating communication among families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant completion of IEP documentation
- Maintaining confidential student records and tracking special education processes
- Collaborating with district staff to meet all state and federal special education guidelines
- Utilizing district IEP platforms to manage paperwork and workflow
- Managing cases and supporting the execution of robust special education procedures
Desired qualifications:
- Active Special Education certification (Birth–21 certification highly valued)
- Prior experience in IEP coordination, case management, or ARD facilitation
- Familiarity with Embrace and Chicago Public Schools (CPS) IEP systems is strongly preferred
- Exceptional organization, documentation, and communication skills
