Case Manager / IEP Coordinator – North Chicago Area

We are seeking a qualified Case Manager / IEP Coordinator for a school-based opportunity in the North Chicago area. This is a great fit for a special education professional who is highly organized, confident with IEP compliance, and experienced in facilitating meetings and managing documentation.

The contractor will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and conducting IEP meetings. This position does not involve direct instruction, making it ideal for candidates who prefer a compliance, coordination, and case management-focused role.

Position Details:

Location: North Chicago area
Schedule: Monday–Friday (about 30 hours a week) 
Hours: 8:15 AM – 2:15 PM 
Weekly Hours: 30 hours per week
Role Type: School-based Case Manager / IEP Coordinator
Direct Instruction: None

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and facilitate IEP meetings
  • Coordinate with school staff, families, related service providers, and administrators
  • Manage IEP timelines, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Support the development, review, and implementation of IEPs
  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and on time
  • Maintain communication with teams regarding student plans and meeting needs
  • Use IEP systems to manage documentation and meeting workflows

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have prior experience with Chicago Public Schools IEP processes and be familiar with Embrace and/or CPS IEP systems. Strong communication, organization, and follow-through are important for success in this role.

Certification Requirements:

Candidates with a Special Education Birth–21 certification are preferred. However, candidates with any special education certification may be considered if they have strong case management, IEP coordination, or school-based compliance experience.

Qualifications:

  • Active special education certification preferred
  • Experience scheduling and leading IEP meetings
  • Strong knowledge of IEP compliance and special education procedures
  • Experience with Embrace and CPS IEP systems is highly preferred
  • Ability to collaborate professionally with school teams and families
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

Compensation for this position ranges from $33.05 to $53.05. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
