Special Education Teacher - Parlin, NJ

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s degree a plus)
• Valid state teaching credential in Special Education
• Experience teaching or student teaching in K-3rd grade preferred
• Proven ability to develop and implement IEPs
• Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and classroom management
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Adaptable and responsive to student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction tailored to diverse abilities in a K-3rd grade classroom
• Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
• Track academic, behavioral, and social-emotional progress
• Modify curriculum and instructional strategies based on student needs
• Implement interventions and accommodations for students with a range of learning differences
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
