Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s degree a plus)
- Valid state teaching credential in Special Education
- Experience teaching or student teaching in K-3rd grade preferred
- Proven ability to develop and implement IEPs
- Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and classroom management
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptable and responsive to student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction tailored to diverse abilities in a K-3rd grade classroom
- Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
- Track academic, behavioral, and social-emotional progress
- Modify curriculum and instructional strategies based on student needs
- Implement interventions and accommodations for students with a range of learning differences
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
