7th Grade 8th Grade Special Education Teacher | Pascoag, Rhode Island

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher specializing in grades 6-8. This role is based near Pascoag, RI and offers a daily schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. You’ll work closely within a collaborative team to help students thrive academically through both push-in inclusion settings and targeted pull-out instruction.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Special Education certification required
• ESL endorsement strongly preferred
• Experience working with middle school students (grades 6, 7, and 8)
• Solid foundation in academic intervention, differentiated instruction, and supporting Multilingual Learners (MLL)
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
• Ability to adapt lessons and instructional strategies to meet diverse academic needs

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide push-in inclusion support within academic classrooms, partnering with general education teachers to deliver tailored support
• Conduct pull-out sessions for students requiring individual or small-group academic and MLL support
• Monitor student progress; develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Participate in team meetings, student reviews, and IEP conferences
• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment that celebrates diverse learning needs and backgrounds
• Maintain organized records and contribute to a data-driven approach to instruction
