7th Grade 8th Grade Special Education Teacher - Pascoag, RI

Make a difference in the lives of middle school students as a Special Education Teacher, working with grades 6 through 8 in a nurturing and dynamic school setting. The workday runs from 7:30 AM to 2:15 PM, providing a consistent and balanced schedule that allows for meaningful interactions and lesson planning.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education certification required
• ESL endorsement highly preferred
• Experience working with middle school students (grades 6-8)
• Knowledge of inclusion and push-in instructional models
• Ability to provide both individual and small group academic support
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Support middle school students in academic subjects through inclusion (push-in) model
• Provide targeted pull-out assistance for academic intervention and support for multilingual learners (MLLs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify instruction and develop accommodations
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
