8th Grade 7th Grade Special Education Teacher in Pascoag, RI

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher. This position focuses on 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, working within a push-in inclusion model for academic subjects alongside targeted pull-out sessions for academic and Multilingual Learner (MLL) support. With a daily schedule from 7:30 AM to 2:15 PM, you'll have the chance to collaborate with faculty and make a tangible difference in students’ educational journeys.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education certification required
• ESL (English as a Second Language) endorsement preferred
• Experience teaching middle school students, especially within inclusive settings
• Passion for supporting diverse learners, including those with varying academic and language backgrounds
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working closely with classroom teachers and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver push-in academic support for middle school students in their inclusive classrooms
• Provide individualized or small-group instruction through pull-out sessions focusing on both Special Education and MLL needs
• Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet each student’s individualized education plan (IEP) and language goals
• Track progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate student development to families and the educational team
• Collaborate with general education teachers to implement effective inclusion practices
• Foster an encouraging and supportive learning environment for all students
