You will serve as a Special Education Teacher in a resource capacity, managing a manageable caseload and collaborating with other educators and support staff to foster student growth and achievement.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience working in elementary or middle school settings
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and adaptive classroom atmosphere
  • Passion for supporting students with varied learning needs

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a resource caseload of approximately 30-37 students, providing specialized instruction and support
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure students receive appropriate accommodations and modifications
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and regularly communicate with families
  • Engage in professional development and stay current with best practices in special education
  • Create a nurturing learning environment that celebrates diversity and promotes student success
