Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active state certification in Special Education
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school environment
• Deep understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet varied student needs
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Comfort working with students, parents, and other educators to identify and address learning or behavioral challenges
• Experience working alongside allied professionals, such as School Psychologists, is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver specially tailored instruction and interventions for students with disabilities
• Develop, update, and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with regulations
• Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching approaches accordingly
• Collaborate with general education teachers, School Psychologists, and families to support holistic student development
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
