Special Education Teacher | Paterson, New Jersey

Make a meaningful impact by providing specialized instruction to a preschool-aged student residing in a long-term care facility. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced Special Education Teachers passionate about individualized, one-on-one support and flexible scheduling.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification required
• Previous experience working with preschool-aged children highly preferred
• Ability to deliver instruction tailored to diverse learning needs
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with medical and educational staff
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability

Responsibilities:

• Provide 10 hours per week of direct instruction, spread across a minimum of three days per week
• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans customized to the student’s goals and abilities
• Track progress, maintain detailed records, and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with caregivers and facility staff to coordinate schedules and address student needs
• Ensure adherence to IEP objectives and regulatory requirements
