Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students who have a range of learning and/or behavioral differences
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress evaluation
- Ability to create engaging, individualized lesson plans that address various learning styles
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and a passion for student advocacy
Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt instructional materials to meet students’ unique needs
- Provide direct instruction and support in both individual and group settings
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records, including IEP documentation and assessment logs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure optimal support
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student growth, goals, and strategies for success
