Bring your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to a supportive school environment near Patrick Springs, VA! We are seeking two dedicated professionals for full-time, onsite contract roles, each serving a manageable caseload of students and fostering growth in young learners.

Position 1 involves working with students from Kindergarten through 7th grade, managing a caseload of 17. Position 2 is focused on 4th through 7th graders with a caseload of 16. You’ll have the chance to engage with students, collaborate with staff, and make a meaningful difference by tailoring instruction and support to diverse learning needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active teaching certification in Special Education (state-specific credential required)
• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a K-7th or 4th-7th grade setting
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Ability to deliver differentiated instruction in both small group and one-on-one settings
• Collaborative skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and students
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess student abilities and needs to develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Lead instructional activities that accommodate varying learning styles and disabilities
• Monitor and document student progress, reporting regularly to parents and staff
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with fellow educators on student goals
• Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment
• Utilize instructional materials and technology to enhance learning
