Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners by supporting elementary students with Autism and other developmental disabilities in a dynamic school setting. This is a full-time, onsite position with the opportunity to engage in the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year. There are three openings available, each providing the chance to work within a classroom of 8-12 students and collaborate with a dedicated educational team.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification or state licensure
- Experience supporting students with Autism and developmental disabilities is highly valued
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to elementary-aged students in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes growth and engagement for learners with varying abilities
- Collaborate closely with classroom assistants, therapists, and service providers
- Maintain accurate records on student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Communicate consistently with families regarding student achievements, challenges, and progress
- Implement evidence-based strategies and support positive behavioral interventions
This rewarding, contract-based role is entirely onsite throughout the school year, providing you with consistent daily interaction and connection with your students. Interview slots are available on Wednesdays between 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM and Thursdays from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, giving flexibility to find a time that works for your schedule.
