An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a school setting within Pawtucket, RI. This role focuses on delivering individualized instruction and services tailored to students with diverse learning needs, fostering academic growth, and promoting inclusive educational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to students, parents, and administrators.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure effective learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and compliance with special education regulations.
- Participate in professional development to enhance instructional strategies and stay current with special education laws.
Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education.
- Experience teaching K-12 students with varying disabilities.
- Knowledge of current special education teaching practices and legal requirements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
