Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with middle or high school students preferred
• Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
• Ability to collaborate closely with paraprofessionals and related service providers
• Experience creating and modifying IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to fostering student success

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver engaging instruction in a self-contained classroom to students with diverse learning needs
• Oversee and coordinate the classroom’s daily activities and schedules
• Write, review, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress, collecting data and making instructional adjustments as needed
• Partner with paraprofessionals to support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary team members to provide updates and advocate for student needs
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all educational standards
