Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification.
- Experience working with elementary-age students, particularly with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
- Deep understanding of best practices in individualized education planning (IEPs), behavioral interventions, and differentiated instruction.
- Patience, compassion, and strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs in a self-contained setting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to individual learning goals.
- Implement IEPs and monitor student progress, maintaining detailed records and documentation.
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and supports to encourage communication, social skills, and academic growth.
- Collaborate with fellow educators, related service providers, and parents to enhance student achievement.
- Create a structured and supportive classroom that promotes positive behaviors and fosters independence.
