Special Education Teacher in Pawtucket, RI

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching license in Rhode Island (required)
• Previous experience providing instruction in special education settings (preferred)
• Strong skills in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Experience working with homebound students is a plus
• Compassion, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to homebound students in accordance with IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods based on students’ individual needs and abilities
• Monitor and track student progress, keeping clear and effective records
• Collaborate with families, related service providers, and school staff to ensure optimal student growth
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and encouraging educational environment in the home setting
