Special Education Teacher - Pawtucket, Rhode Island

Embark on a meaningful contract role supporting 2nd and 3rd grade students as a Special Education Teacher. Your workday will run from 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM, allowing you to build strong, supportive relationships with your students and collaborate with a team of dedicated educators.

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

• Valid special education teaching certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in 2nd or 3rd grade
• Skilled in delivering instruction through both push-in and pull-out models
• Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with general education teachers, families, and support staff

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction within both general education classrooms and pull-out settings, adapting to students’ unique learning needs
• Develop, track, and update IEP goals through consistent documentation and progress reporting
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success
• Collaborate effectively with staff and families to ensure the best possible educational outcomes for each student
