Special Education Teacher in Pawtucket, RI

This contract opportunity runs through June 15, 2027, and focuses on serving a subseparate classroom in a supportive school setting near Pawtucket, RI. With a manageable caseload of 9 students and the assistance of four dedicated paraprofessionals in the classroom, you’ll have the resources and teamwork you need to help every student thrive.

What you’ll bring:

• Valid Special Education license (Moderate or Severe)
• Previous experience or passion for teaching students with developmental delays
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
• Adaptability and creativity in delivering individualized instruction
• Enthusiasm for inclusive, student-centered learning environments

Your role will include:

• Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Leading and organizing classroom activities that promote skill development
• Differentiating lessons based on student needs and abilities
• Supervising and collaborating alongside 4 in-class paraprofessionals
• Regularly monitoring student progress and updating documentation
• Communicating effectively with parents, team members, and administration
