Special Education Teacher in Pawtucket, RI

Desired Qualifications:

• Active RIDE certification in Elementary Grades Special Education
• Proven ability to work with elementary-aged students in diverse classroom settings
• Recent experience with IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Willingness and ability to successfully complete a state and national BCI (background check)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students in accordance with their IEPs
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each learner
• Track and report on student progress, making recommendations for adjustments as needed
• Engage in co-planning and consultation with general education teachers and support staff
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
