Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold an active Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience working with students in grades K-12 (elementary, middle, and high school)
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes, individualized instruction, and diverse learning needs
  • Proven classroom management skills and a collaborative approach with general education staff
  • Excellent communication abilities with students, colleagues, and families
  • Flexibility and creativity in adapting lessons for various grade levels and abilities

  Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction, support, and resource services to students with a range of special needs
  • Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state requirements
  • Collaborate closely with teaching teams and support staff to foster student success in both self-contained and inclusive settings
  • Modify curriculum and teaching techniques to match each student's unique needs
  • Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward IEP goals
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and responsive classroom environment
