Desired Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students in grades K–5, 6–8, and/or 9–12
• Strong ability to differentiate instruction and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Familiarity with classroom management strategies tailored for diverse learning needs
• Effective communicator with students, parents, and multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt quickly and work collaboratively in a school setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction in accordance with students’ IEPs
• Assess academic and behavioral strengths and needs through observation and data-driven tools
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service personnel
• Maintain detailed, confidential records of student progress and compliance
• Communicate regularly with families, offering updates and participating in IEP meetings
• Foster an encouraging, safe classroom atmosphere where every student feels valued
