Special Education Teacher in Peach Springs, AZ

A dedicated Special Education Teacher is needed for a contract position starting July 20, 2026, through May 20, 2027. Work Monday through Thursday, 40 hours per week, with occasional participation in special events during evenings or Fridays. Qualifications & Skills:

• Current state certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Prior experience working with K-8 students preferred
• Expertise in developing and delivering Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management and positive behavioral intervention skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners and advocating for student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for a caseload of 20–28 students
• Differentiate instruction and interventions to address a range of abilities and needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families for student success
• Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement
• Participate in school events, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development
