What You’ll Need:

• Active Illinois LBSI and PEL credentials required
• Experience working in high school special education settings strongly preferred
• Demonstrated commitment to student advocacy and differentiated instruction
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to adapt instruction and utilize individualized education plans (IEPs) effectively

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess instruction for high school students with varied abilities
• Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Employ tailored strategies and materials to address diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families for optimal student outcomes
• Manage classroom environments that support positive behavior and social-emotional development
• Track and report on students’ progress, participating fully in IEP meetings and school team initiatives
