These contract positions will run from August 19, 2026, through June 4, 2027. Several classroom settings are available:
- 8th Grade Self-Contained: Lead a classroom dedicated to serving students needing personalized instruction. Hours: 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM
- 6th Grade Inclusion: Provide support to special education students in general education settings and take ownership of two or three small group classes. Hours: 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM
- 3rd-5th Grade Self-Contained: Create a nurturing environment for elementary students benefiting from structured support.
Prospective candidates should bring:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with special education endorsement
- Experience teaching students with mild to moderate disabilities in self-contained or inclusive settings
- Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
- Effective communication and collaboration talents
- Flexibility and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to fostering a supportive learning atmosphere
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborating with general educators, specialists, and families
- Monitoring student progress and adapting instruction as needed

- Keeping accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
