Special Education Teacher - Pekin, Illinois

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Experience or interest in working with middle school learners in a self-contained environment
• Strong understanding of IEP implementation and adaptive teaching strategies
• Effective communication and organization skills
• Ability to foster positive classroom management and collaborative relationships with support staff, families, and administration

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction in all academic and functional areas based on students’ individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Develop lesson plans that meet diverse learning needs and modify curriculum as required
• Monitor progress, track data, and document performance to ensure goals are being met
• Collaborate with related service providers, support personnel, and families to encourage student participation and growth
