This opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year, with a strong focus on supporting elementary-aged students in self-contained settings, as well as high school placements available. Classrooms typically serve 4-6 students with tailored supports for varying disabilities and IQ levels.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Alabama SPED licensure—verify via state credentialing; must match assignment age group (K-6 for Elementary, 6-12 for Secondary)
- Experience supporting students in self-contained settings strongly preferred, especially at the elementary level
- Passion for individualized instruction and student advocacy
- Exceptional communication and documentation skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) for students with a diverse range of needs
- Foster a positive, structured classroom environment supporting social, emotional, and academic development
- Track student progress and collaborate with staff, therapists, and families
- Adjust teaching strategies to best serve learners’ unique strengths and challenges
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and team planning
