Special Education Teacher - Pendleton, IN

In this role, you’ll work 35 hours per week onsite, creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive environment where every student can thrive. Collaborate with a dedicated team to tailor educational approaches, foster progress, and help each child reach their full potential.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid and active Indiana Special Education Teaching License (must provide verification)
• Experience with mild disabilities and self-contained classroom management
• Strong commitment to individualized instruction and student growth
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt and innovate within a dynamic middle school setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state guidelines
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
• Work closely with paraprofessionals, fellow educators, and administrative staff
• Engage with families to support student progress and well-being
• Monitor, assess, and document student achievement and behavior
• Incorporate diverse instructional techniques to meet varying student needs
• Participate in ongoing professional development
