Special Education Teacher in Peoria, AZ

We have contract opportunities available for three dedicated Special Education Teachers to provide resource support at the high school, K-8, and middle school levels. Each role involves a full-time, 40-hour work week and offers the chance to collaborate with educators and support staff to help students thrive.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Experience working in a school setting with students who have mild to moderate disabilities
• Strong communication skills for building relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to adapt lessons and instructional strategies to meet individual learning needs
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's strengths and needs
• Provide direct instruction and resource support to students in assigned grade levels (high school, K-8, or middle school)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to ensure positive student outcomes
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods as required
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and growth
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all required reporting and documentation
