Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience supporting K-12 students with diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with IEPs, progress monitoring, and individualized instruction
- Strong collaborative skills with teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Adaptability to work across structured, resource, and self-contained classroom settings
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver tailored instruction to students in one or more of the following: Connections (grades 5–6), structured elementary, resource ELA for middle school, general middle school resource, self-contained high school, or Pathways
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom culture
- Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals and related service providers
- Participate in staff meetings, parent conferences, and team planning sessions
- Monitor student progress and communicate results with families and team members
