Qualifications & Preferred Experience

• Valid Special Education Educator Certification (required)
• Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (required)
• Proven experience working with students on the Autism spectrum
• Strong command of visual supports and their classroom implementation
• Demonstrated ability to write compliant, effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Expertise in behavior management techniques in a K–12 educational setting
• Commitment to collaborative teamwork and professional growth

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a kindergarten autism self-contained classroom with empathy and structure
• Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to each student’s unique learning profile
• Develop and maintain IEPs, ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met
• Integrate visual supports into daily routines and academic activities
• Use evidence-based strategies for behavior support and student engagement
• Foster communication and partnership with families and interdisciplinary staff
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture
