You’ll choose from three distinctive roles:
- 8th Grade Self-Contained Classroom (7:45 am–2:45 pm)
- 6th Grade Inclusion Position (supporting students in general education and teaching 2-3 dedicated special education classes; 7:45 am–2:45 pm)
- 3rd–5th Grade Self-Contained Classroom
A pay rate ranging from $30–$40 per hour is offered, reflecting your expertise and dedication.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field
- Current state teaching license with appropriate Special Education endorsement
- Previous classroom experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical experience encouraged to apply
- Solid understanding of IEP development, modifications, and implementation
- Comfortable adapting instruction to diverse learning needs and collaborating with staff and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan dynamic, individualized lessons tailored to IEP goals
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom environment
- Conduct ongoing assessments to track progress and modify strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Communicate regularly and empathetically with families about student progress
