• Valid Special Education teaching certification (preferred for Colorado or eligibility)
• Experience working in an elementary school setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Effective communication skills when collaborating with families, general education teachers, and support staff
• Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere
• Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for varying ability levels

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of 12 elementary students, providing specialized instruction in alignment with their IEPs
• Developing lesson plans that accommodate individual academic and behavioral goals
• Assessing and documenting student progress, making data-driven instructional adjustments
• Collaborating regularly with parents and interdisciplinary teams to support student development
• Engaging in school-wide initiatives and maintaining up-to-date special education records
• Participating in staff meetings during school hours (8:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
