Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid state certification in Special Education
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher at the high school level, including working with students with varied learning needs
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with students, families, and staff
• Ability to adapt lessons and materials for individualized learning
• Organizational skills to manage the resource room setting and keep accurate records

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to high school students in the resource setting, focusing on skill development and curriculum support
• Implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support student inclusion and achievement
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
• Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
