Special Education Teacher | Peyton, Colorado

Qualifications:

• Valid state certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working with students in affective needs or behavioral support programs preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation

• Ability to collaborate with counselors, therapists, and general education teachers

What You'll Do:

• Develop and carry out individualized education plans (IEPs) based on students' unique academic and affective needs
• Teach core subjects and social-emotional skills, differentiating instruction as needed
• Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies to promote growth
• Implement evidence-based interventions and behavioral supports
• Work closely with families, school staff, and service providers to coordinate support
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings and team conferences
