Special Education Teacher | Pflugerville, Texas

Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ educational journeys in North Austin as a Special Education Case Manager. In this contract opportunity, you’ll work Monday to Friday from 7:30/7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, spearheading vital support for students with diverse needs—including those with dyslexia, speech, and other special education requirements. This role emphasizes close collaboration with families, interdisciplinary staff, and the use of SuccessEd software to facilitate smooth case management processes.

Your primary responsibilities will include acting as both an ARD Facilitator and a 504 Coordinator. You’ll oversee a caseload of approximately 200 students, organizing and moderating ARD meetings and ensuring ongoing compliance with Texas educational standards. As a key player in supporting equitable access, you’ll develop and track 504 plans, making certain every student with a disability receives the accommodations necessary to thrive in their learning environment.

To thrive in this position, you’ll bring the following skills and experience:

• Current Texas Department of Education Special Education certification (required)
• Proven experience facilitating ARD and 504 meetings
• Track record of working collaboratively across staff, families, and support services
• Comfortable leading meetings and managing detailed documentation
• Ability to follow dress code policies that foster a professional, inclusive environment
• Experience with SuccessEd software is a strong asset
• Possession of a laptop for work use is preferred
