Qualifications:
- Hold an active Pennsylvania Instructional I or Instructional II Certification in Special Education K-12 (or be able to obtain certification by the end of July)
- Fully certified status required; candidates with emergency certifications are not eligible at this time
- Experience working with middle school students preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to middle school students (grades 6-8) using both push-in and pull-out methodologies
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet a variety of learning needs
- Track and report on students’ progress, ensuring clear communication with parents, staff, and support professionals
- Foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment that drives student success and confidence
