Special Ed Teacher - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Pennsylvania Instructional I or Instructional II Certification in Special Education K-12 (or be able to obtain certification by the end of July)
• Fully certified status required; candidates with emergency certifications are not eligible at this time
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to middle school students (grades 6-8) using both push-in and pull-out methodologies
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet a variety of learning needs
• Track and report on students’ progress, ensuring clear communication with parents, staff, and support professionals
• Foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment that drives student success and confidence
