Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher specializing in autism support for grades K-5. This full-time position runs from August 17 to June 11 and is located near Philadelphia, PA, with daily hours from 8:00 to 3:45. You’ll provide critical support in a resource classroom using push-in/pull-out and small group models, focusing on empowering students and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of one year of teaching experience with students on the autism spectrum
  • Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II K-12 Special Education certification (emergency certifications not accepted)
  • Strong background in developing and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Experience with progress monitoring and tracking student achievement
  • Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to plan effective small group instruction
  • Collaborative mindset and commitment to working with other specialists and classroom teachers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as case manager for K-5 students receiving autism support services
  • Develop, write, and update IEPs to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Plan and deliver engaging small group lessons, utilizing resource and push-in/pull-out approaches
  • Monitor and report student progress, making data-driven instructional decisions
  • Partner with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to promote student success
  • Foster a positive, nurturing classroom atmosphere where every student feels valued

This role offers a pay range of $40–$50 per hour, reflecting your experience and dedication to special education.
