Special Education Teacher in Philadelphia, PA

Step into a pivotal role shaping the educational journey of high school students as a Special Education Case Manager. This contract position is based on-site at a single high school, offering the chance to make an immediate and lasting impact for those with a passion for student advocacy and individualized support. With three openings available, you'll be part of a collaborative and mission-driven special education team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage a diverse high school special education caseload
• Deliver direct instructional and support services to students
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Track student progress and maintain thorough, accurate documentation
• Work closely with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and administrators to develop effective strategies and interventions
• Ensure all services and programming are compliant with legal and district requirements
• Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive school environment

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with high school populations preferred
• Proven skills in IEP development, implementation, and case management
• Exceptional organizational and written/verbal communication abilities
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Detail-oriented approach to documentation and follow-through
