Grades K - 5 Grades 6 - 8 Special Education Teacher - Philadelphia, PA

Seeking dedicated professionals passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs in grades K–6. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic role for Special Education Teachers who excel in both emotional and learning support environments. The position spans float assignments within multiple classroom settings, ensuring a varied and engaging workday.

Ideal candidates bring:

• Valid Instructional I or II certification in K-12 Special Education for Pennsylvania (strongly preferred)
• Consideration given to those with emergency certification, at least 2 years of experience, and active pursuit of full certification or scheduled Praxis exam
• Demonstrated experience in case management and writing effective, compliant IEPs
• Expertise in supporting elementary and middle school students—grades K through 6
• Flexibility to work in floating assignments across emotional and learning support caseloads
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, positive educational environments

Key responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
• Deliver engaging instruction and interventions to ensure meaningful progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student success
• Monitor and assess student growth, adjusting strategies as needed
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations

This contract offers a weekly schedule of 35–40 hours with a pay range of $39 to $55 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
