Special Education Teacher in Philadelphia, PA

This full-time contract position runs Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm, with an immediate start and continues through the end of the school year. Serve a caseload of approximately 20 students in grades K-4, using your expertise to provide individualized instruction and foster an inclusive environment. As a valued team member, you’ll collaborate with general education staff and families to help each child reach their full potential.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Certification for grades K-4
• Previous experience in elementary special education (K-4) strongly preferred
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs
• Collaborative spirit for working with teachers, administrators, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to students with varying abilities
• Write and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress
• Maintain open communication with families regarding student development
• Implement positive behavioral supports and classroom management strategies
