Position Overview
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated K-12 Teacher of Students With Disabilities for onsite opportunities in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the 2026-2027 academic year. Most assignments involve resource support through push-in and pull-out services, while some openings may be in self-contained or inclusion classroom settings. This position supports students with a variety of exceptional learning needs, including emotional, behavioral, developmental, and academic challenges. Candidates should be passionate about helping students build confidence, strengthen skills, and achieve meaningful educational progress.
Job Responsibilities
The selected educator will provide specialized instruction aligned with student IEP goals and district expectations. Daily responsibilities may include collaborating with general education teachers, implementing accommodations and modifications, monitoring student performance, and maintaining accurate documentation. Teachers will create supportive learning environments that encourage student participation and positive behavior while adapting lessons to meet diverse academic and social-emotional needs. Communication with families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams will also be an important part of the role.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must hold a Pennsylvania Instructional I or Instructional II Teaching Certification for K-12 Teacher of Students with Disabilities or have the ability to obtain the certification by August 2026. Emergency permits, temporary credentials, and out-of-state certifications will not be accepted for these positions. Prior experience supporting students with multiple disabilities, behavioral needs, or learning differences is strongly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative educational setting.
Compensation and Benefits
This contract opportunity offers a competitive hourly pay range of $40-$55 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Soliant Education provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401(k) retirement plan. Employees are also eligible for weekly pay throughout the contract assignment. This is a full-time onsite opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year within a supportive school district environment.
