Special Education Teacher - Phoenix, AZ

There are multiple openings across various schools in the district for educators passionate about supporting diverse learners through inclusive and specialized education programs. Full-time, contract roles are available at several campuses, each within a 30-minute drive of various neighborhoods.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active Arizona Secondary Teaching License and a current K-12 Special Education Certificate
• Certified in CBT and/or STRIVE, with proximity to Linda Abril, Academies at South, Alhambra, BioScience, Bostrom, Betty FairFax, or surrounding campuses
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Experience supporting students with emotional disabilities or those facing prosocial and self-regulatory challenges
• Familiarity with at-risk youth, students with limited English proficiency, and those with exceptional needs
• Track record developing and implementing special services according to local and federal compliance standards
• E.E.E.I. training or willingness to participate in professional development
• Ability to build strong relationships and foster inclusive classroom environments
• Commitment to full onsite presence (remote/virtual work is not an option)

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and support students across diverse special education settings, including Inclusion/SUCCESS, Practical, CBT, and STRIVE
• Assess, plan, and deliver instruction adjusted to individualized educational needs
• Develop and maintain compliant documentation, IEPs, and progress reports
• Collaborate closely with fellow educators, specialists, and families
• Participate actively in summer training (July 21-24) and the academic calendar through May 2027
