Special Education Teacher in Phoenix, AZ

Three openings are available for early childhood special education teachers who will provide instruction to cross-categorical Pre-K classrooms. Each role involves managing morning and afternoon groups, with support from two instructional assistants per session. You’ll have approximately 24 students on your caseload, ensuring individualized attention and meaningful progress for each learner. School is in session four days a week for students, while teachers work a comprehensive five-day schedule for prep and collaboration.

Key Qualifications:

• Certification in Special Education (Early Childhood endorsement preferred)
• Experience with IEP development and case management
• Strong understanding of cross-categorical teaching approaches
• Ability to collaborate effectively with assistants, families, and support staff
• Passion for fostering inclusive and nurturing learning environments

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to the needs of early learners
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations
• Manage the full caseload for each class group
