Step into a meaningful role where you can make a difference in the lives of young learners as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher. This contract position is designed for dedicated professionals with a passion for supporting students in a Pre-K, cross-categorical classroom environment near Phoenix, AZ. You will serve a vital function, working with morning and afternoon groups of approximately 10-12 students per session (totaling around 24 students on your caseload), ensuring a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere. Two instructional assistants will partner with you throughout student sessions, providing valuable classroom assistance.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification with Early Childhood or Pre-K endorsement preferred
  • Prior experience designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong knowledge of special education practices, assessments, and federal/state requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse classroom and adapt instruction to meet all student needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for partnering with instructional assistants, parents, and school staff

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction in a nurturing Pre-K classroom setting
  • Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs for all students on your caseload
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with instructional assistants to create a supportive and effective classroom environment
  • Manage case files and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as required
