Qualifications:
- Current Arizona Secondary Teaching License
- Valid K-12 Special Education Certificate
- IVP Fingerprint Card (required)
- Previous experience supporting students with emotional disabilities or other eligibility areas
- Familiarity with at-risk, ethnically diverse, and limited English proficient students
- In-depth knowledge regarding special service program development aligned to federal, state, and district standards
- Willingness to participate in Essential Element of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training, if not already completed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction across various settings: Inclusion/SUCCESS, Practical, CBT (Life Skills/Transition), and STRIVE (Behavior/Autism/Intensive Support)
- Develop and implement individualized education plans and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design services and accommodations
- Address unique student needs through proactive behavioral and instructional strategies
- Ensure compliance with all district and legal requirements
