Pay : Up to $50/hour

Position Overview

Pickerington Local School District is seeking a qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized educational services to students with visual impairments across multiple school locations during the 2026–2027 school year.

The selected candidate will support a caseload of approximately 8–10 students, primarily at the elementary level, with the possibility of serving middle and high school students as needed. This position involves direct instruction, consultation services, collaboration with educational teams, and compliance with Individualized Education Program (IEP) requirements.

Caseload

  • Approximately 8–10 students
  • Majority elementary-aged students
  • Potential middle and high school students
  • Services provided across multiple school locations
  • Caseload may fluctuate based on student eligibility and service needs

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification.
  • Ability to provide both direct and consultative services in educational settings.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to travel between multiple school locations within the district.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with students with visual impairments across a variety of grade levels.
  • Knowledge of special education processes, IEP development, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families.
