Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current licensure as a Special Education Teacher (K-5), in accordance with state requirements
• Demonstrated understanding of diverse instructional strategies for students with varying exceptionalities
• Experience with developing, implementing, and adapting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills to foster effective relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary staff
• Ability to provide positive leadership and mentorship to team members

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee the special education program for elementary grades, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
• Develop and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to each student’s unique abilities
• Work collaboratively with general education faculty, support staff, and parents to create a nurturing and effective learning environment
• Lead the development, review, and revision of IEPs, engaging families and related professionals in the process
• Provide guidance and support to other special education teachers and paraprofessionals
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional plans to maximize educational outcomes
