Special Education Teacher in Pine Bluff, AR

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility
• Experience teaching ELA at the elementary level, preferably with 3rd-6th graders
• Knowledge of current best practices in individualized education and differentiated instruction
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies for diverse learning needs
• Commitment to fostering a positive, accessible learning environment for all students

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging ELA instruction aligned with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
• Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with families and school staff
• Develop and implement strategies that support student growth in reading, writing, and comprehension
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to promote inclusion
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals
• Promote a classroom culture that values diversity and inclusion
