In this role, you will serve as an Elementary ELA Special Education Teacher, working with 3rd–6th grade students in a full-time capacity.
Qualifications
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification for the state of Arkansas (or eligibility for reciprocal certification)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Experience teaching ELA to elementary or middle grade levels preferred
- Demonstrated ability to modify curriculum and differentiate instruction
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IEPs for students with diverse learning needs in grades 3–6
- Deliver engaging ELA instruction tailored to individualized learning goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote student inclusion
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records
- Foster a safe, positive, and motivating classroom environment
