K-1 Special Education Teacher in Minnesota

A Minnesota elementary school is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support a K–1 caseload within a cross-categorical instructional model. This full-time, onsite role blends resource support with center-based instruction, providing specialized academic and behavioral interventions for young learners with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction in both resource and center-based settings.

• Implement IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications for K–1 students.

• Deliver differentiated instruction using a cross-categorical approach.

• Collect data and monitor student progress to inform instruction.

• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff.

• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain required documentation.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (appropriate K–1 or cross-categorical licensing).

• Experience with early elementary students and cross-categorical service models preferred.

• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
