Key Qualifications:

• Valid Moderate/Severe credential OR Extensive Support Needs credential (California)
• Knowledge of best practices in special education, including IEP development and implementation
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for collaboration with staff, families, and related service providers
• Dedication to creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Create a positive, structured learning environment tailored to students with moderate/severe needs
• Collaborate with fellow educators, specialists, and families to maximize student progress
• Adapt lesson plans and materials to provide differentiated instruction
• Assess student growth and maintain accurate, timely records of performance and progress
