Special Education Teacher in Piscataway, NJ

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification for K-3.
• Demonstrated experience working with children on the autism spectrum, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, allowing you to partner effectively with support staff, therapists, and families.
• Innovative, patient, and flexible approach to meeting each student’s unique learning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective, individualized instruction for students in a K-3 autism classroom, fostering academic and personal growth.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s abilities and goals.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other educators, aides, and therapists to provide a comprehensive support network.
