Special Education Teacher in Pittsburgh, PA

This is a full-time contract opportunity, Monday through Friday, from 7:45am to 3:15pm, where you'll work closely with a small caseload of 2-5 students, ensuring personalized attention and meaningful progress for each child.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with K-12 students with diverse educational needs
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group instruction tailored to each student's learning plan
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with support staff and families
• Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to support academic, social, and emotional growth
• Monitor student progress, maintaining thorough documentation and regular reporting
• Participate in IEP meetings, staffings, and ongoing professional development
