Two rewarding opportunities are open for experienced Special Education Teachers ready to make a difference in students’ lives. These contract positions are located near Pittsburgh, PA, with immediate starts and extend through early June 2027. Both roles offer a full-time, Monday through Friday schedule, providing consistency and impact throughout the academic year.

Available Roles:

• Middle School (Grades 6-8): Serve students in a Pull-Out Resource setting, working from 7:55 am to 3:55 pm. The caseload focuses on autistic and emotional support needs, offering an environment where your expertise can truly shine.
• High School (Grades 9-12): Co-teach in Social Studies and ELA classrooms, supporting a learning support caseload. Hours are 7:35 am to 3:35 pm, collaborating closely with classroom teachers to tailor instruction and foster student growth.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Instructional I or II Special Education Certification for Pennsylvania.
• Experience with middle or high school grade levels is preferred.
• Familiarity and comfort with both pull-out and co-teaching models.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
• Ability to demonstrate compassion, patience, and adaptability in diverse educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction based on IEPs.
• Provide direct support to students in either resource or inclusive classroom settings.
• Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, aides, and support staff.
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress.
• Contribute to a positive, supportive classroom environment that celebrates student successes.

Compensation for these positions ranges from $35 to $50 per hour, reflecting your expertise and dedication.
